Live Story of Peter Willems
I started developing my skills by studying and practising letterpress typesetting, pre-press and typography at the Secondary Graphic School in The Hague. After I finished that, I went to the Royal Academy of Art and Design in The Hague, studying and practising Graphic Design (evening classes for five years) and later Industrial Design (Friday and Saturday classes for three years).
During my time at the Royal Academy of Art and Design, I worked for several years for various printing companies including a publishing company. Next I started as an independent Graphic Designer in The Hague, the Netherlands. Years later, I worked and lived for five years in Jakarta, Indonesia. Then I worked and lived for fifteen years in Christchurch, New Zealand, where I also teaches Graphic Design at the National College of Design Technology for several years. In this section of the website you can see some of my personal journeys throughout my professional life . Please check out the contents of the four topics above |
